Dr. Salil Latay – In Concert – As a Singer and Musician
Vocal Sonata – Just the Singer and His Piano on the Synthesizer — a one-of-its-kind concert format in the world.
I created this format of concert presentation in 2017 and have been performing all over India ever since. After me, I was extremely happy to see some singers, such as Ms. Suneeta Ganu of Pune, Dr. Manjiri Joshi of Bangalore, and Mr. Shirish Katre of Pune, decided to use my format for presenting their own concerts.
Moving a step further, the concert on 06 September 2026 marked an important milestone: a group of singers came together to use this format to present a full concert.
Thanks to the newly created group Swar Aradhya, under the aegis of singer Deodatta Rajguru, four other singers, including me, presented their very first concert, titled Madhursangeetam. A guitarist-singer was also added to this format for this concert.
The concert was very well appreciated, and everyone who attended was in complete awe of what they saw and heard. A minimalist approach, without any compromise on quality or musical output, resulted in an evening filled with melody and Sukoon.
Thank you to everyone at Swar Aradhya. And thank you to each one of our wonderful audience members. The journey of Swar Aradhya continues…
Veteran compere and actor HBP Prakash Pagnis attended the concert and was all praise for the format and the impact of this presentation. He even sang a few lines. Thank you, Sir.
Fortunate to have veteran singer, speaker, scholar and nationalist - Shahir Guruprasad Naniwadekar, in the audience. He has been one of my biggest supporters and also the catalyst behind the formation of the Swar Aradhya group. Thank you so much, Sir.
