Felicitation of Dr. Salil Latay - 25 March 2023 - Pune

A leading Training Organisation in the Information Technology (IT) Education Sector comes up with a unique concept to celebrate its Annual Day. The concept is to felicitate the most important mentor or Guru in the lives of the Core Management Team Members of the organisation. A brilliant idea by its dynamic Founder & Director Mr. Vinayak Ujalambe of the famous FirstBit Solutions, Pune.

 

A member of its Core Team – its Marketing Head – Mr. Ameya Joshi submits a name – a person whom he considers his biggest support, mentor, anchor and guide in his life journey until now. The name is – Dr. Salil Latay – A Singer of Sukoonbhare Nagme in Hindustani & Easy Listening Melodies in English, A First Generation Entrepreneur for 19+ years, having known Ameya as a distant cousin since 1987.

 

The news came as the biggest surprise of my life. Never ever could I imagine – Anyone being inspired or influenced or mentored by me, by my life or by my doctrines of life; and here I was publicly felicitated by Ameya himself at the Annual Function of FirstBit Solutions titled Karwaan 2023 on 25 March 2023 – celebrating the 9^th year of their successful journey of training the would-be IT workforce – along with this wonderful initiative to motivate their employees.

 

Thank You Ameya..... I have absolutely no words to express my gratitude and thanks.... Infact I nearly chocked at the actual presentation that was clearly heard in my singing of the few lines. I wish you all the best in life and I shall always be there for you.

Thank You Mr. Vinayak Ujalambe for creating a memory for life for all those felicitated that evening and Thanks to all at FirstBit Solutions, Pune for inviting me to a wonderful event.

Dr. Salil Latay - In Concert - Sukoonbhare Nagme

A path breaking mission of 58 years – securing a place of dignity for the mentally challenged by providing them with daily life skills, education, vocal training, securing work opportunities and enabling their participation in the social sphere  – that’s KAMAYANI, Pune – the vision of Smt. Sindhutai Joshi in 1964 that has created this great organisation.

 

An iconic organisation puts its faith on my Mission of Melody of Sukoonbhare Nagme with Vocal Sonata for a special concert for its Fund Raising Drive – for the second time. The first one was in August 2021 online – broadcast all over the world. The present one was an on location concert at the majestic setting of Sheth Chaandmal Munot Hall at the Gokhalenagar Campus of KAMAYANI.

 

The Organisers were iconic, the venue was majestic and so was the theme and concept of the concert – A Tribute to the Legendary Jagjit Singh – with my genre of Sukoonbhare Nagme and the format of Vocal Sonata. Remembering the Maestro through his Ghazals, his Film Songs, his Television Title Songs and his Devotional Songs. The concert was a smashing hit – attended in huge numbers and appreciated by one and all.

 

Thank You KAMAYANI, Pune. Thank You to its Management and its Staff who put up a superb event. Thank You to each of the Patron and Donor who supported this fund raising drive – which was a huge success. My Concert being trusted once again to raise money for a great social cause – What more honour can I ask for in life? A special Thank You to the man who got my concert to be a part of the great mission of KAMAYANI - for the second time - Dr. Ashutosh Bhupatkar - The Chairman of KAMAYANI, Pune. Thank You Sir!

 Dr. Salil Latay - In Concert - Sukoonbhare Nagme

Mission of Melody travels to the land of Kalinga Utkal – the beautiful state of Odisha. My 5^th Concert in this state and the second presentation at the historic city of Cuttack.

 

Thanks to Cuttack Club – a premier heritage club, established in 1865 – one of the oldest in India, with the super elite - nearly 1600+ in number – its esteemed members. This was my second performance after the first one in June 2017. The Concert was widely publicised, wonderfully arranged and widely appreciated by the audience in huge numbers.

 

The only regret – not many photographs were clicked and shared – for all got too engrossed in the presentation.

 

Thank You Odisha, Thank You Cuttack and Cuttack Club for this opportunity. I am truly honoured. I thank the Management of Cuttack Club lead by its President – Dr. Jayanta Kumar Panda & Hon. Secretary – Mr. Jasobanta Das for this second opportunity.

 Dr. Salil Latay - In Concert - Sukoonbhare Nagme

Singing in the second most-sung destination in my career - Mumbai is always special, Also special is - Singing for the prestigious Rotary Club International - an organisation that has wholeheartedly supported and appreciated my Mission of Melody, all over India since my first performance in November 2004 till this 66th performance here. The occasion was the Charter Day Celebration of Rotary Club of Bombay Mid-City. This was my second presentation for the same club after the first one in February 2017. A memorable trip indeed.

The venue was the Club House of an ultra posh locality in South Mumbai - The Island City Centre (ICC) in Dadar (E), with its huge towers of 59 and 65 floors looking over the club house.

A few minutes before the event - I am honoured to meet a very Senior Artist - Musician (Guitarist), Composer and Music Producer - The Official Guitarist of the Legendary Anup Jalota - Mr. Dhiren Raichura - who keenly observed all that was being done in The Real Solo Concert and was all praises and appreciation for my format of Vocal Sonata, and in fact went on to sing two songs with this format.

Accompanying an acclaimed Musician.....Wow...What a moment! Thanks so much Sir. A memorable meeting indeed!
